Denver just did a huge reconstruction project, switching out the old pipes in Cheesman Park with fancy new purple-color-coded “recycled water” pipes for the park’s sprinkler system to make our water usage more sustainable. I always think the park looks amusing when all of the sprinklers are going off, and one cloudy evening I wanted to capture it, so this is what I came up with.
I wish I did one more row of pictures to get the tops of the trees, which I think would look much better, but I had a hard time just getting this because I kept getting sprayed by that sprinkler front and center and kept having to start over. I like the distorted dominant curve balanced out by the strong vertical tree trunks.
