This Paris panorama is a 360 degree photo, taken originally with 20 individual photographs from a normal film camera, then digitized and manually stitched together into a seamless panoramic photograph. This was my first panoramic image, taken in Paris, France in 2002.
Where to see this artwork
This piece is currently on display at The Coolest Little Gallery in the Tennyson Arts District near Denver, Colorado, as a large-scale 72″x15″ panoramic print with a “floating-glass” style frame. It is the feature piece of my set of floated glass images. If you are near the gallery, stop in to see it!
(Note, this piece has been moved to the Indulge French Bistro, a few blocks from the gallery.)
This piece is unique because it is the only panoramic image I have done on film instead of a digital camera. The original piece was created by layering the 20 individual 5×7 prints overlapping each other to create the full panoramic image. For a limited time, this original film version is also on display at the The Coolest Little Gallery.

By the way, the quote on the original says, “Je vois le monde tourne autour de moi,” which roughly translates to, “I see the world turn around me.” I chose this phrase because I literally turned around in a circle when taking the panoramic photo.
