First Friday Success

I want to thank all of you that made it to the artwalk last Friday night.  While we’ve had a great summer so far, this month had the best turnout, and the most activity, including made-to-order crepes, a balloon artist’s balloon sculpture rendition of the BP oil spill fiasco, interactive painting sessions, and of course lots of good food, drink, and art!  Don’t miss next month’s artwalk on Friday, Sept 3rd.

My artwork has gotten lots of attention in it’s featured location in the gallery.  I’ve gotten many compliments, and quite a lot of people saying they’ve seen my work in the gallery.  Some of you may know that two of my pieces have been selected to hang at the Indulge French Bistroon 4140 W. 38th St. The restaurant serves gourmet French cooking from an award winning French Chef, so stop by, have a meal, and check out the featured European-style art.

The gallery, The Coolest Little Gallery, is getting good attention too.  The Northern Denver Tribute wrote up a great article about the gallery, which you can read here.  If you haven’t seen the new space yet, definitely stop by.  Besides cool art from local artists, the gallery has a popular selection of mid-modern style furnishings to compliment the artwork on the walls.

New Images, Lower Prices

Those of you that have been to the galley recently will have noticed my newest pieces on display, including a new piece of a mediaeval town’s terraces along a river in the Czech Republic, a beautiful sunset ocean panorama from Hawaii, and two awesome local panoramas of Lakeside amusement park at night.  I’ve gotten a lot of great comments on these pieces, and I have a few new images in work for next month.

I like how my work looks in the gallery, but I really want to have my fine art on display at people’s homes! I’ve decided to do two things to encourage this: first, I’ve lowered my prices on all of my pieces, and second, I’ve started a new line of high quality, but lower priced pieces that are very practical, and just as nice in your home decor.   Please take advantage of this, and ask me if you’d like a custom size or style and I’ll happily make it for you.

And don’t forget my panoramic photo bookmarks, which are $23.50 for a set of five.  I’ve been using these myself and I have to say, I enjoy using them more than I expected.  Get a set for yourself, or as a gift.

Plans for the Month

I am constantly working on my artwork in some aspect.  This month will be particularly active.  I am working on a few new images for next month’s show.  But I am also trying to expand where my work is seen.  As I mentioned, I am already showing at the Indulge restaurant.  And I’ve been working with the Tattered Cover Bookstore to have them carry my panoramic photo bookmarks.  In addition, I’ve started the long journey of looking for other galleries in other areas of Denver to show my work at.  I’ve only just started, but I have a few potential opportunities in the works.  I would love to have my work showing in a traditional style gallery with a room dedicated to my work.  If you know someone who may be able to help me, please let me know!  I’ll keep you up to date on how this develops, and hopefully report back with good news soon.

That’s it for now.  Thank you again for your support.  As always, please forward this on to other art lovers, and stop by my online guestbook to say hi, or drop me a line directly.  I like hearing from you.
